The Tabernacle of David – Fact Sheet

I.        The Tabernacle of David References

A.        The worldwide prayer movement – Isaiah 56:5-8; 61:11 to 62:1, 6-7; Zechariah 8:18-22; 62:6-7; 1 Chronicles 9:33;

B.        The building of David’s tabernacle – Amos 9:11-12; Acts 15:16-17.  The three dimensions to this restoration.  A
priestly dimension – focused on 24 hour a day worship and intercession that follows the Davidic order of worship.  A
prophetic dimension – focused on the release of the prophetic ministry in the church of Jesus Christ – Acts 2:17.  A kingly
dimension – focused on the apostolic ministry that accomplish the tasks of the kingdom with power fulfilling the Great
Commission – evangelism, community and equipping.  The Tabernacle of David in all three dimensions had its beginning
of restoration in the New Testament church.  However, the completion of these three dimension have not yet been fully
restored that the nations might know God.  The Tabernacle of David is essential in the completion of the Great Harvest of
souls promised to the church at the end of the age.  We believe that city wide prayer ministries will fill the earth before the
Lord returns.

C.        David’s Tabernacle is a picture of ministry to God in spirit and truth (John 4:24) according to Revelation 4-5.  The
two primary activities are seen in Revelation 5:8.  The harp – speaks of God’s songs and God’s music in the heavenly
court.  The bowl – speaks of God’s prayers that are imparted into the heart of the saints.

II.        A GENERAL OVERVIEW OF THE TABERNACLE OF DAVID

A.        David in unity with all Israel desired to bring up the ark of God to Jerusalem – 1 Chronicles 13:1-8.  David built a
special tent to house the ark of the covenant.  1 Chronicles 15:1; 16:1

B.        David placed singers and musicians before the ark to minister to God – 1 Chronicles 6:31-33; 9:33; 15:16-29;
16:4-7, 42; 23:4-6, 30; 25:1-8; 28:10-21; 29:4-20.  2 Chronicles 5:12-14; 7:1-6; 8:14-15; 9:11; 20:20-22, 28; 23:13;
29:11-36; 30:21; 35:2, 15; 25.  Ezra 2:69-70; 3:10; 11:22:23; 12:44-47.  Singing and instruments in the prophets –

IV.        THE TABERNACLE OF DAVID IN HISTORY OF THE KINGS OF ISRAEL

V.        Each time one of the kings of Israel re-instituted the Davidic order of worship in the temple then spiritual break
through and military victory came soon afterwards.  Eight specific leaders embraced the Tabernacle of David dimension
of the priestly ministry of David.  The eight specific periods of Israel when the Tabernacle of David was established.  

                      David – 1 Chronicles 15-16 – 1050 BC.  
                      Solomon – 2 Chronicles 5-7 – 1010 BC.                  
                      Jehoshaphat – 2 Chronicles 20 – 896 BC.
