    The Tabernacle Of David

It is essential that we know the theology behind the Harp & Bowl style of prayer. We must be preparing our lifestyle for not only
what God is currently doing, but for what God will be doing in the future. This teaching will help us learn more about the model
of the Tabernacle of David and how better to explain it to others.

1. The Tabernacle Of David Is Our Model For Prophetic Singing Prayer Isaiah 16:5 – “In mercy the throne will be
established; and One will sit on it in truth, in the tabernacle of David, judging and seeking justice and hastening
righteousness.”

Amos 9:11 – “On that day I will raise up The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, and repair its damages; I will
raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old.”

A. James quotes from Amos 9 to show that the salvation of the Gentiles is a fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy, and
that they were living during the time of the restoration of the Tabernacle of David.

B. The Apostles knew that the Church was the restored Tabernacle of David, the place where Christ is worshiped, speaks
prophetically and exercises His authority.

C. The result of the Church flowing in Davidic worship, prophecy and authority was a great harvest of souls.

D. Other Old Testament scriptures that describe the glory of God and the prophetic spirit of His tabernacle:

• Isaiah 2:2-5, Isaiah 9:2-7, Isaiah 35, Isaiah 40:1-5, Isaiah 60:1-3, Isaiah 61, Isaiah 62, Jeremiah 33:10-22, Micah 4:1-2,

2. Davidic Worship

A. The phrase "Davidic worship" simply means worship in the spirit of the Tabernacle of David, that is, worship that is an
act of the whole person, not just the intellect.

B. Davidic worship fulfills the command of Jesus to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind
and all your strength." (Mark 12:30).

C. The majority of the Psalms were originally sung as prophetic songs in David's Tabernacle.

D. The Psalms describe the full range of human emotions revealed in the presence of God, from deepest despair to
highest joy.

3. Key Scriptures concerning the building of David’s Tabernacle

A. The establishment of David's Tabernacle:

    • 2 Samuel 6
    • 1 Chronicles 13-16

4. Key Moments:

A. David prepared a place for the Ark. (1 Chr. 15:1)

B. The Levites sanctified themselves for their ministry. (1 Chr. 15:14)

C. All Israel joined in the procession of praise. (1 Chr. 15:3)

D. The procession was marked by joyful instrumental and vocal music (1 Chr. 15:16-21 ) and dancing. (2 Sam. 6:14,
1 Chr. 15:29)

E. They ministered to the Lord continually. (1 Chr. 16:37-43)

5. Key Revivals:

A. The righteous kings of Israel that followed David reestablished Davidic worship within the context of Temple worship.
These revivals of Davidic worship paved the way for spiritual renewal and military victory.

6. The New Testament scriptures on the Tabernacle of David:

B. Sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs (Eph. 5:19, Col. 3:16)

C. Sing in the spirit (1 Cor. 14:15)

D. Lift up holy hands in prayer (1 Tim. 2:8)

E. Offer up to God the sacrifice of praise (Heb. 13:15)

F. The book of Revelation records scene after scene of heavenly worship that includes shouting (Rev. 19:1), "Hallelujahs"
(Rev. 19:7), singing the new song (Rev. 5:9), and bowing. (Rev. 4:10).

B. Prophet – Nabi: to announce/ proclaim, to bubble up or pour forth

C. Prophesy – Naba: to speak or sing under the influence of a divine spirit

D. Watchman – Tsaphah: to look out or about, spy, keep watch, observe, watch closely

It is as we come before the Lord to serve Him; offering ourselves as a living sacrifice; allowing our lives to bubble up on
the inside; that we will learn how to hear and follow His voice. The more we can model this in the Prayer Room and have
it ingrained in our spirit, the more of God we will experience. How much do you really want it?
