PANIC – The origin of the word is from the Greek god Pan – half-goat, half man.  A demonic influence on this state of fear

the devil which prevail  (JFB)

PANTHER - black, cunning, sneaky, predator, coming after somebody

PARABLE - uses something familiar to help us understand something new
--Jesus taught in parables so only the hungry would get and to hide truth from the careless
•        A parable compels listeners to discover the truth for themselves and it conceals the truth from those too lazy or
prejudiced to look for it.
•        Sometimes Christ convinced his adversaries by parables, which bring reproofs more close, and make men, or ever
they are aware, to reprove themselves.  Matthew 21:28

PARADISE - Paradise was in the beginning the habitation of man in his state of innocence, in which he enjoyed that

PASSIONS  (Four):  emotions of joy, hope, fear, sorrow

PASSIVE - (MG) Now through her continued passivity, she has become like soft wax, or a perfectly manageable instrument
in the hands of God, with which He does as He will.  She has then reached the only true passivity in its perfection, an
active-passive state, in which her actions are no longer self-originated, but are wholly due to the gentle and loving
influences of the Holy Spirit within.

PASSIVE HEART - vulnerable to every lust of the flesh

PASSOVER - Exodus 12

      3.  Waving of the sheafs of the firstfruits

place at one time.  On earth he always has a base and a headquarters.  And it is always high on a mountain because
he loves looking down on people and surveying his kingdom.  We know from Jesus’ letter to the churches that satan at
that time had his headquarters in Pergamum.

PERSECUTION:
-Justified - if what we deserve
      -Not justified
      -persecution cleanses
--As long as there is no conflict of interest, your righteousness may not be persecuted.  It is when there is conflict of
interest, however, that righteousness will be persecuted.
--For the Lord’s sake:  this is not just a conflict of interest persecution.  The world hates the Lord.  The moment you
mention Christ, strangely enough, you even bear His reproach on your face.  The relationship between Christ and the
world remains the same even up to this moment.  Consequently, the scope of persecution for righteousness’ sake is a
limited one, while that for the Lord’s sake is without bounds.  They do this without any reason except for the sake of Christ.
Nonetheless, it indicates that our relationship with the Lord must be real, or else such things against the Lord would not
fall upon us.  Let us therefore be ready for persecution.  Let us have the mind to suffer.
--Being persecuted for righteousness sake shows that a person is different from the world.  His persecution, however,
is not considered to be very severe.  Accordingly, the reward stated ends with the kingdom of the heavens.
--Persecution for the Lord’s sake surpasses this other persecution (righteousness) and thus the Lord declares
“great is your reward”.  When the Lord says great, it must be great indeed.

PERSEVERANCE - Perseverance – willing to endure the present (NNBC)

PERSONALITY - is a hindrance; when feel good about Go don’t care about personality.  People want what’s inside of you.

    o        Natural perversion – immorality
o        Unnatural perversion – homosexuality; sex with animals
o        A debased mind; spirit of delusion

PETER - 1st time - “Peter-do you “agape” (love to the point of death)”
Peter said “Lord, I phileo you (I am fond of) you”
--His experience was less than his confession
2nd time -- said same thing
3rd time -- “Peter, do you “phileo” me?”  The Lord came to the level of Peter’s experience and Peter broke and cried, he
rose to a new level of faith, fully restored.
Each must start at lowest level where first found and climb step by step.

--He denied the Lord three times over a charcoal fire.  There is only one other charcoal fire mentioned in the New
Testament and it is after the Resurrection when Jesus appears to them while fishing and Jesus prepares a charcoal fire
for them.  If ever you see a man fishing who hasn’t caught anything, he does not like to receive advice on what to do.
The amazing thing is that Peter listened to advice.  153 fish were caught.  Bible commentaries have tried to give a
meaning to 153.  It just means a lot of fish.  Immediately Peter swam to shore and came face to face with another charcoal
fire and must have remembered the last time he saw one.  Resurrection bodies can cook breakfast for unresurrected
bodies.
Jesus asks Peter a few questions.  I had planned to make you the first pastor of My church, but you let Me down so you
can give out the hymn books.  He didn’t say that.  He didn’t say He’d put him on probation for a few years.  Or he didn’t
say you’ll have to go to purgatory for a thousand years.  He just said, “Do you love Me?”  And Peter refused to use the
word “love”.  He said ‘I’m very fond of You.”  “Do you love Me more than these others?”  “You know I like You so much”.
“You only like Me”.  “You know everything Lord, I’m not going to lie to You.”  Then feed My sheep.  Jesus is not interested
in a live, active church that is doctrinally sound.  It’s how much do you love -- that is what He’s after

PHARISEES

      2.  Emphasize outward more than inward - legalism

PIGS - demonic, unclean, not Kosher
--things going on around you unclean, subtle, usually involved in real messy situations
--dream of pigs - need deliverance from demonic activity and messy
•        In the bible swine are always used to typify nominal believers; being unclean animals inside (not chewing the cud) but
clean outside (they parting the hoof), they easily represent nominal believers who may have the outward appearance but
lack the inward reality
•        --(WN) Dogs and swine stand as definite types in the Scriptures.  According to Leviticus 11, both are unclean
animals.  A dog is totally unclean, both within and without.  A swine is unclean inside but clean outside, for it “parteth
the hoof, and is clovenfooted, but cheweth not the cude”.  (Leviticus 11:7).  Dogs therefore typify the perishing; while
swine typify the hypocrites or nominal Christians.  Today if you cast the holy things to the dogs, they are unable to
discern that these are holy.  Hence, not being satisfied, and even being displeased, they will turn and rend you.  And
if you cast your pearls before the swine, they do not realize the preciousness of these objects; they will therefore trample
them under their feet.

PILLARS - holds up a roof; holds up a covering; if breaking then something holding up your covering is breaking; if huge
and strong got something great going on
      --large pillars are religious issues

PITCH - This is the first century that there has been a standard pitch in the earth; one tone - 440 cycles per second

POOL - Man healed by the pool:  He was 38 years old; Israel 38 years in dessert
--refreshing Holy Spirit.  Something you can be immersed in (ankles, knees, waist...)

POOR - Anytime beloved that somebody says that they are out there ministering to the poor and they are doing to glorify the
nobility of the human spirit and it is divorced from glorifying God, it is evil.  It is evil.  Good acts done by men to glorify the
nobility of the human spirit apart from God is damnable sin.  It is mockery to God.  Don’t get lured in by that. (DL)

POOR IN SPIRIT - A. W. Tozer:  “The way to deeper knowledge of God is through the lonely valleys of soul poverty and
abnegation of all things.  The blessed ones who possess the kingdom are they who have repudiated every external thing
and have rooted from their hearts all sense of possessing.  These are the “poor in spirit”.  They have reached an inward
state paralleling the outward circumstances of the common beggar in the streets of Jerusalem.  These blessed poor are
no longer slaves to the tyranny of things.  They have broken the yoke of the oppressor; and this they have done not by
fighting but by surrendering.  Though free from all sense of possessing, they yet possess all things.
      --consciousness of spiritual need (LS)
--a chosen poverty, a voluntary emptying out of all personal desires, agendas, preconceived ideas, and mindsets in
order to receive from God
--It is an inward character.  It is something voluntary, not environmental.  The outwardly rich and the outwardly poor
may both be lovers of money.  So that not only what is in your hand may hinder you from entering the kingdom of God,
but what is in your mind and heart may equally keep you from entering.
--John of the Cross:  empty your soul, and seek to be filled with the attitude of Christ, which is a sure wellspring --
unending, and brimming with life eternal.  Count nothing as your own.  Count all that the proud flesh desires as worth
less than nothing.
--In original it means someone who trembles or shrinks with fear; trembles and shrinks with fear lest he should perish
without the salvation of God
--A frame of mind - those who in their deepest consciousness realize their entire need.  This self-emptying conviction,
that before God we are void of everything, lies at the foundation of all spiritual excellence, according to the teaching of
Scripture.
--(JF&B)  The poor in spirit not only shall have - they already have - the kingdom.  The very sense of their poverty is
begun riches.  While others “walk in a vain show” - “In a shadow” “an image” - in an unreal world, taking a false view of
themselves and all around them - the poor in spirit are rich in the knowledge of their real case.  Having courage to look
this in the face, and own it guilelessly, they feel strong in the assurance that “unto the upright there arises light in the
darkness”; and soon it breaks forth as the morning.  God wants nothing from us as the price of His saving gifts; we have
but to feel our universal destitution, and cast ourselves upon His compassion, so the poor in spirit are enriched with the
fullness of Christ, which is the kingdom in substance.

POSITIVE CONFESSION - That the communication of your faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every
good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.  Philemon 6
--acknowledge with your mouth, you say it
--cannot look at situations in natural, look at them in the supernatural

POTATO - a passion fruit, part of tomato family
--potato grows underground.  It is hidden.  God has hidden aspect of your inheritance

POVERTY - Criticism opens the door to the spirit of poverty
      1.  Many Christians are walking in spiritual poverty because of judgments and accusations against those who are
doing well
      2.  If spread gossip about others, you are as guilty of sin as they
              a.  Love covers
              b.  Need to sow mercy every opportunity you get

POWER - waiting to be released
Holy Spirit waiting -->  words go forth --> releases Holy Spirit
--Power of resurrection = the ability to handle anointing and prepares you for suffering
      --ability to do
•        Power is given to build up the body.  Church now not user friendly, we are in a power crisis in church
•        Acts 2 – the pursuit of power.  Power = supernatural ability to make wrong things right.  First step to power:  cut off

--Rabbis say “to thee belongs glory, magnitude, might, the kingdom, the honor, the victory, and the praise

PRAYER - Jews do not stand still praying, to a Jew it is a sin to pray if your body is not involved.
--”see how they pray to their Lord”
--the soul’s motion God-ward; desire is the soul of prayer
•        --Jesus cried out “It is finished” -- its over.  And then He prayed a prayer that He had been taught as a little boy at
Mary’s knee:  (Psalm 30:6)  “Into Your hands I commit My spirit” -- and added one word:  “Father, into Your hands...”
How could He go through this?  He went through it for the joy set before Him.  He could see beyond the present suffering.
•        Daniel’s prayer method:
o        Confess sins:  violated Law; ignored warnings
o        Acknowledge His mercy and He is a God to be feared and trusted
o        Ask for fulfillment of promise
o        State we are a derision to neighbors and enemies triumph in our defeat
o        Ask God to:  hear, pardon, act quickly
•        The Lord’s prayer – Matthew 6 – The significance of this prayer lies in the fact that God Himself has come from behind
the veil and told us what He desires.  This is the first time God became man and told us the prayer that strikes the mark.
Here we realize immediately what the kingdom of heavens is, that it has been extended to include this earth.  God calls
us to pray what He desires, that which He considers to be essential.
•        Prayer does not move God to grant our wishes, but when God has determined to grant our wishes, He puts it into
our hearts to pray for the thing desired (JFB)

PRAYER WARRIOR - can pray for a thing to be done without necessarily being willing for the answer to come through
himself; and he is not bound to continue in the prayer until it is answered.         Rees Howell

PREACHING - Jesus preached the same as that which John the Baptist had preached.  The foundation of the kingdom
of the heavens is set on repentance.

PREDESTINED– we have been given our share in the heritage as was decreed (Z)

PREGNANT - first sign of a woman being pregnant is that she’s not leaking.  A sign from heaven God has put something
down inside of you.

PREJUDICE – pride in externals; false confidence in externals (MB)

PRESSING - not supposed to; out of place.
--God is not sharp, harsh, or pressing.  But He can be sharp, harsh and He is pressing.  What is religion?  What is
real?  Am I pressing because I am supposed to be or because of error in me?

PRESSURE - when pressure people for your problem, it is an indication of your flunking the test

PRESUMPTION -- thinking that gifts of grace are for a reserved few--God desires His gifts for everyone.  The Great God
would want us to ask great things.
Example:  The Father of lights Sun shines on all/God shines on all

--One of the most presumptuous acts in Scripture was the people trying to make God King when He was already the King.
--We do not want to test the Lord - He is Holy
              a.  He has called us to be holy and walk righteously before Him
              b.  He puts up with a lot, but don’t test Him in our presumption
              c.  There is a presumption on God’s grace that can cause us to cross lines that we don’t really want to cross
              d.  We reap what we sow
--The Lord demands an account for the vineyard He entrusts to His people - Luke 12
--SOS 8:9 - principle of being clothed form on high with Jesus power to win the lost - Acts 1:8; Luke 24:49

--  Facts    to    spiritual laws  to  principles
--Every time things got dry in Scripture, they went to Egypt
              1.  Even if we are in some area of the Promised Land, we turn to the world for our sustenance
              2.  We look for entertainment (to detain you from entering)
              3.  Ended up in bondage
--Just before you are about to be delivered by the power of God, the enemy will heap the burdens on you. Reason was
so that the people would believe the promises of God were false words
--Between the place of promise and the fulfillment of the promise, there is the exact opposite of what you have been
promised (Egypt and the wilderness) (RJ)
--”He leased the vineyard” - this speaks of the principle of the Kingdom of God in this age being entrusted to the
Church
--Opposite action of presumption:  SOS 8:8 - she has neither private relationships nor interests; in all thins she is
one with Him.  Toward the close of the last section, she recognizes the         Bridegroom as her Instructor.  She will not
now make her own plans about her little         sister and then ask his blessing in them.  She will rather learn what his
thoughts are and fellowship with Him in His plans.
--(WT) The call of God is never to “go”, it is always to “come”.  The call to “come” involved his preparation for the
sending forth ... this “field” speaks of our place of service.  her mother’s children had forced her to keep the vineyard.
Now the Lord is leading her into the vineyard. ... No longer is she working “for” the Lord; she is working in Divine union
“with” Him.

--(WT)  Our Lord is seeking out those who will respond promptly to His knock on the door of their heart.  He is
searching for a Bride who is willing to respond to His presence whenever He may choose to come.  As she invites Him to
enter the room of her spiritual life, He will reciprocate by sharing with her His burden concerning his vineyard ....She must
“come” to Him first.  Then together, they will be able to “go”.  This foundational principle, when understood, will strengthen
our relationship with the Lord, and lead us toward spiritual maturity.  As we respond to His call to “come” and then turn
aside with Him for times of fellowship in His chambers, He will share His secrets and burdens with us.
--Whatever you want to happen on the outside has to happen on the inside first
--Hearing and overcoming are intrinsically connected
              1.  The next thing He says is “He who overcomes, I will give him this reward” -- Mark 4:23; Revelation 2:7;
Revelation 3:22
              2.  The Lord has a specific response for the reward:  “and you will hear more will be given”

--Presumption akin to faith = take action without faith

PRESUMPTUOUS - images you can do everything and can do nothing; thinks you can excel in all and excel in nothing;
promise everything and perform nothing
--what we want we think is also what God wants

PREY - Psalm 76:4; SOS 4:8

PRICE (without) – simply for the self-surrender that accepts the blessing – Isaiah 55:1 Amplified

PRIDE - Believing lies gets you into deception and pride
      Lie --> Deception --> Pride
--Pride is an interrupter; not a good listener
      --Pride is an arguer
      --Deception is believing a lie
      --Only by pride comes contention
--When feel DISGUST for somebody, that disgust screams from heaven:  PRIDE! PRIDE!  Superiority! Superior spirit!
You’ve got it - alert! alert!
--Proud = high, high-minded, puffed up, blowing smoke
      --pride tells lies
      --”Anxiety is infidelity towards God”
--If you worry you are proud.
--If you are anxious you are proud.
--Proverbs 1:23, 28 (LB)  Pride is thinking more highly of our own wisdom and desires than of Gods.  If we think we know
better we have fallen into foolish pride.
--an attack on another person is an attack against God
      --overestimate yourself; underestimate others
--thinking more highly of our own wisdom and desires than of God’s
--Pride = lie; humility = truth
--Attempt by man to be his own god
•        Spiritual wickedness

PRIEST - Don’t have to ask God your place:  function as a priest.
      Four ways priest minister to Lord;
              1.  Declare to God who He is
              2.  Tell how we feel
              3.  Declare finished work
              4.  Declare inevitable victory
Unfolding of priesthood in Old Testament:
              1.  Priest for one self
              2.  Priest for a family (Passover)
              3.  Priest for a nation (Aaron) (in his nation and his generation)
              4.  Priest for world (Jesus)

PRIESTHOOD FUNCTIONS:  Sprinkle – the double sprinkling of blood and oil typified the two main functions of the
priesthood:  to diffuse the light and joy of godliness, and impress upon the people the truth that atonement can be found
for human wrong doing.  (Exodus 29:21)

PRINCIPLE:          John 12:24  Principle of life through death
JGL - Kingdom is based on principles.   Principles are greater than doctrines.  Principles are the foundation stones
upon which all other things rest.  The eight Beatitudes are the principles of the kingdom, the Sermon on the Mount is the
constitution, and the commandments of Jesus are its laws and statues.
1st principle - Blessed are the poor in spirit;          2nd principle - Blessed are they who mourn
MM - a principle is eternal - always the same everywhere and every time.         Principles produce character; people
are NOT their behavior.
      1.  Principles are not facts (Fact - money in the bank; principle - God is supplier/source)
      2.  Principles are more important than facts (Healing experience a fact;         principle = don’t follow Jesus because
He can heal)
      3.  Principles protect you from the destruction of facts
      4.  Principles are permanent; facts change.  (Facts are more dangerous because they change)
      5.  Principles are keys to successful living
              Principle - I can change
Fact - what I am is not what I’m gonna be
Principle:  The older you grow, the quieter it gets

Principle-He bears long, and then He answers speedily; He bears long, proving us; He answers speedily, that no flesh may
glory in His presence
--Do not sell your property to a non-Christian.  Do not give your home, family, money, time to non-Christians.  Keep
the inheritance you have gained in Christ.
--Spirit is given when Jesus glorified (John 7:39)
--the Lord will often deliberately come to us at a time when we may be the least willing to respond to Him, or at a
time when we are very much occupied with other things.  He does this when we least expect Him, in order to see if we
really care for him more than we care for other things -- to expose what really matters to us (WT)
--2 Corinthians 2;15 -- our fervency awakens younger believers
--SOS 1:17, 4:6, 6:10 - “Until the day breaks and the shadows flee away, Jesus, I need Your help.”
--The guiding principle of God’s activity:  God’s ultimate purpose and goal of creation is to provide an equally yoked
Bride that is suitable to Him.  He has worked very intentionally to select and train this bride to reign with Him in love.  The
main purpose of the created order is to select, prepare, and train the eternal companion for royal authority.
--Judge not - Matthew 7:1-2 - Much of life hinges upon this one issue - how we view one another.  Do we criticize
others for what we see or do we intercede for them?  Most criticism is rooted in pride based upon an assumption of a
personal superiority and is the cause of much of the resistance of God in our lives.
--Genesis 2:15 principle:  basis of unity, God “PUTS” you where He wants you
--Principle from the Book of Revelation:  If going to criticize someone say something nice first.  A simple lesson in
personal relations.
--God’s way:  ask and receive - Matthew 7:7
--Principle:  “The Master was a long time coming:”
--Caught nothing - no doubt so ordered that the miracle might strike them the more by contrast.  The same principle
is seen in operation throughout much of Christ’s ministry, and is indeed a great law of God’s spiritual procedure with His
people.  John 21:3
--It is God who initiates everything and continues to put within us the Spirit and unction to pursue Him - Romans 9:15
--”The spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual”  - 1 Corinthians 15:46
--Spiritual judgments take place first in the heavenly realm - Isaiah 24:19-21
--A spirit has not flesh and bones   Luke 24:39               --though He delay long - Luke 18:7
--Jesus said “Unless you become like little children, you will not enter the kingdom of God”.  This is one of the few places
in Scripture where Jesus is said to have rejoiced.  he rejoiced because the “learned and clever are not able to see, but
the children can see”.  This is a law of entering the Kingdom.  The unknowing of our natural knowledge as a means of
knowing God and a receiving of wisdom from on high which is folly to the world.
•        A principle of growth in physical, mental, and spiritual life:  if you are not growing, you are weakening; it is impossible
to stand still for long.  Luke 8:18
•        Mike said it was a heresy to say seek His face and not His hand.  We don’t chose.  We are to seek His face, then
His hand.  There is a spiritual principle:  if you don’t pursue (God’s way) spiritual gifts, you don’t get them.
•        It is a spiritual principle that God uses a military invasion to wake up His sleeping people
•        The Creator could have made His work perfect at first, but by this gradual proceeding He would show what is,
ordinarily, the method of His providence and grace. (Genesis 1:2)
•        The Spirit of God was the first mover:  He moved upon the face of the waters.  God is not only the author of all
being, but the fountain of life and spring of motion.
•        God offends the mind to reveal the heart.
•        It has been a uniform principle in the divine procedure, when judgments were abroad on the earth, to include every
thing connected with the sinful objects of His wrath.  Genesis 7
•        The first precept (mitzvah) given to man (Genesis 1:28)  be fruitful – increase.  Next principle (Genesis 1:28)
subdue it – “The secret of all modern science is in the first chapter of Genesis.  Belif in the dominion of spirit over matter,
of mind over nature, of man over the physical and the animal creation, was essential to the possession of that
dominion.”  (LA)
•        With what measure you give, it shall be measured to you – Matthew 7:2, 12.  As you judge others, God will allow
others to judge you too.
•        The clearer and more obvious divine things are in themselves, the darker and more hidden they are to the soul
naturally (JofC)
•        Matthew 13;12 – the principle here is that those who have a knowledge of divine things and appreciate it, can get
more; while those who have no such knowledge, and care nothing for it, will not only not learn the truth, but will finally lose
all opportunity for learning it.
•        Principle (fixed law of divine administration):  the duty men voluntarily refuse to do, and in point of fact do not do,
they at length become morally incapable of doing.
•        Principle of weaning:  withholding changes the appetite.  In weaning us.  God withholds what we want in order to
change our desires.  (BSorge)
•        God always supplies His grace according to the need (BM) Exodus 16:18; 2 Corinthians 1:3-5
•        Long term victory happens one day at a time (BM) Matthew 6:11; Hebrews 3:12-15
•        We rarely discover anything monumental about God without discovering something momentous about ourselves.
With every revelation comes an invitation to adjust our lives to what we have seen (BM)
•        That he who is able to suffer most for His sake will be the nearest to Him in His kingdom (Mark 10:38)
•        It is a principle in the natural as well as in the spirit that the messenger that is sent is part of the message.  The
messenger that is sent is part of the message being sent.  The messenger – the dignity – is proportionate to the
weightiness of the message being sent.
•        Principles that govern God’s judgment (Romans 2)
    1.        According to truth (v2)
    2.        According to deeds (v6-11)
    3.        According to the light a person has (v12-15)
•        Ezekiel 7:10 – Sprouting rod – implies that God does not move precipitately, but in successive steps.  He as it were
has planted the ministers of His vengeance, and leaves them to grow until all is ripe for executing His purposes. (JFB)

PRINCIPLE OF SPIRITUAL HUNGER - “if we can live without something in God, then often we will go without it”.  “If you
want something in God’s will so much that you can’t live without it, then you’ll         have it in due time.”
•        The Divine principle of spiritual hunger cries out that, “if we can live without something in God, then often we will go
without it.”  However, if there is something in the Word of God that we can’t live without, then we will receive it in due time.
The Lord declares, “If you want something in God’s will so much that you can’t live without it, then you’ll have it in due
time.”  (MB)

PRINCIPLE OF SPIRITUAL VIOLENCE:
-God reserves the fullest measure of His blessing for those who are wholehearted or spiritually violent in their pursuit
of God                  -invitation to not settle for anything other than God’s best--specifically in intimacy
-Two activities in grace of God:  (the two very different)
              1.  Introduction/initial access (Romans 5:2)
--totally forgiven and loved and secure in the Lord (freely given)
                      --receive passively
                      --based on our great need
                      --occasional tokens of God’s power
--if only this proclaimed, people enter into passivity/contentedness
              2.  Fullness of grace (James 4:6, Romans 5:17)
--aspect of grace that is taken by force
--Jacob in Genesis 32 (won’t let go until blessed)
                      --Moses in Exodus 32
--a holy resolution:  the gift of God
--God’s providence that we will prevail if we want to prevail with Him
                      --Son of God affirms this
                      --comes by hunger--not human need
--violence gets birthed as seed and grows
GENESIS 1 Principle of creation:  “After it’s own kind”.  God’s purpose to generate life out of union together.
--No one can work for God if He is unfit as a person.  Before a person’s work can be accepted, he himself must first be
approved by God.  This is a basic principle in the Scriptures.  The Bible never indicates that God will accept a person
because of his work.  It always maintains that the acceptance of one’s work is due to the approval of the person himself.(Nee)
GENESIS 3 Principle.  Two features of Genesis 3.  The first is that the man whom God had created has his own place
eternally fixed.  he may receive life, but he can never be God.  Yes this is the focus of satan’s temptation.  He tempts people
to cross the boundary to God’s territory so that the worshipper might become the worshipped, just as he is.  We can be
like god in all things except in His deity.  This was the nature of the first temptation to have ever occurred in the world.
The second feature is what can be deduced from what satan said:  “You shall not surely die....your eyes shall be opened,
and you shall be as God knowing good and evil.”  Before Man had been tempted to eat the forbidden fruit, he was unable
to discern good and evil, nor did he have the sense of good and evil.  Such knowledge belonged to God, not to man.
Adam and Eve did not know good and evil, and therefore they must inquire of God.  If God said good, they too would say
good.  Man and woman in the garden of Eden were not independent; they were not to make independent judgment.  The
fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil caused them to declare independence against God, in that they would
know good and evil themselves without the necessity of communing with God.  And this is what is meant when reference
is made to man having fallen.  The first sin of man was to do away with the need of depending on his Creator.  Formerly,
he was a fool without God; man could not live a day without Him.  He had to maintain communication with his Maker.  All
issues were only to be solved through communion.  through faith and prayer, man came to know.  But now man has fallen,
sin having entered the world.  Sin has caused man to be independent of his Creator God.  Man overstepped his boundary
and moved into God’s territory; and man declared independence of god.

PRIZE - What prize are we reaching for in these latter days?  The whole world’s population, divinely designed to sweep
every willing soul into the Kingdom of God.

PROBLEMS - root of all problems is spiritual

Fruit is the problem;  root is spiritual

Hold your ground - wrestle with spiritual powers

      War between                        Us                        satan’s kingdom
      God’s Kingdom      -->      Caught            <--                warrring against
                                     in middle

PROCRASTINATION - disobedience

PROMISE -  a legal term denoting a summons or a promise to do or give something

PROMISE/COVENANT - a settled declaration of the will of God

PROPHECIES - don’t be impressed with personal prophecy; a prophecy won’t get you there; prophecies are invitations;
will you get through the wilderness to start walking in promise?

PROPHESY - Need to live revelation before prophesy it; prophesy means to distill something

PROPHET - first prophet was Abel (Luke 11)
      --faithful witness
•        Former prophets:  Joshua, Judges, the two Books of Samuel, and the two Books of Kings (The latter prophets were
Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and the twelve minor prophets)
•        Jesus had come to them as a prophet, one who challenged them to respond to unpopular spiritual truth.  Matthew 13:55
•        Prophets:
    o        Must be called
    o        Must be raised up
        Does it on His schedule
        He takes you and strips you bare and whoever takes you, takes you as is
o        Makes sure you are ordained
        Recognized by fathers in the prophetic movement
    o        Must be anointed
    o        Have to be sent
o        It is dangerous to accept a job without a call (Kingsley Fletcher)
o        God needs to call you
o        A prophet without discipline is a walking time bomb
o        You can hear:  God’s voice, your own voice, devil’s voice.
o        Those who compete are false prophets

PROPHETIC - a pitfall of prophetic people is to think that everything that we see and feel is what God thinks and feels;
that is a serious delusion

PROPHETIC REVELATION - #1 destroyer of prophetic revelation is lust.  Lust exact opposite of love

PROPHETIC WORD - Paul Cain said he never ever gives any kind of warning or corrective word until he first comes
under it in his own life.

PROPHETIC YEAR - times = year; in prophetic a year for each day
              3-1/2 times = 1,260 years

PROSPERITY - don’t prosper because transgress the commandments of the Lord (2 Chronicles 24:20)

PURE IN HEART -- The pure in heart have but one aim:  to serve God and to please Him and also to live for others.
In this matter of seeing, let us note that it is not governed by thought but by the heart.  It is based on our consecration
and obedience, not on our cleverness and comprehension. .... Please take note that it does not require an object as
large as the earth to conceal the moonlight; oftentimes a single leaf can hide the light of the moon.  So it is with the heart.
A slight slant of the heart will cause spiritual blindness.  Seeing is not the result of thinking through, it comes from having
a pure heart.  Singleness of heart is the test of absolute surrender.  All whose consecration is not absolute are blind, but
the pure in heart can see.  Consecration is the sole condition for seeing the truth, whereas the slightest reservation can
produce a different view.  Man’s opinion follows his intention, not his brain.  Absolute surrender alone guarantees the
ability to see. (Nee)

PURIFICATION - What is the fruit of this purification?  The fire of love.  The fire of love is not commonly felt at the outset
although at times a person will feel a certain longing for God.  In the measure that the fire of love increases the soul
becomes aware and attracted to the fire of God without being enkindled in it, not knowing how this love or attraction
originates.  “My appetites of sensory affections were changed from the sensory life to the spiritual life.”  The soul
becomes enamored with God but knows not how.  It’s longings are vehement but not continual, and only experienced
from time to time (although usually some thirst is felt).  Usually individuals do not perceive this love in the beginning but
they experience the dryness and void spoken of.  And instead of this love enkindled afterward they harbor in the midst
of their dryness and faculties a habitual care and solicitude for God accompanied by a grief or fear of not serving Him.
This is a sacrifice most pleasing to God:  to care about God in the midst of dryness, to care about and be worried about
what is going on - a spirit in distress and solicitude for His love. (John of the Cross)

PURITY OF HEART - a condition of pure wisdom--comes from the love of Divine things

PURPOSE = original intent (original reason/design/result)
= use church before world began
= original purpose (Ephesians 3:10,11) = through church make known mysteries
      - purpose deals with end results.  God finished before He started.
-The purpose of a thing determines it ability, its potential, its capacity and its fulfillment
-The potential and the capacity of any product is predetermined by the purpose for which the manufacturer created it

      Seven Basic Principles of Purpose:
      1.  God is a God of purpose.  He created all and nothing for the fun of it.
      2.  Everything in life has a purpose.  A purpose for an ant, hair, wax...
      3.  But not every purpose is known.
      4.  Where purpose is not known - abuse is inevitable.
      5.  If you want to know the purpose of a thing--never ask the thing. (No product knows its purpose.)  If you want to know
the purpose for your life--don’t ask another human.
      6.  Purpose is only found in the mind of the maker of the thing.
      7.  Purpose is the key to fulfillment.  A product can only fulfill itself when it is performing the reason for which it was created.  Fulfillment
comes from purpose.
      8.  The purpose of a product determines the potential of the product.
      9.  The purpose of the product determines the success of the product.
--(RW) The purpose that God has for us is in direct proportion to our preparation.  God gives great effort to preparing
His servants.  He doesn’t haphazardly release us into ministry

--Our purpose:  to enter the rest of God
              1.  Enter His rest by believing - cease striving and know that He is God
              2.  Man created at end of sixth day
                      a.  His first full day was God’s seventh day - when God was resting
                      b.  For man to have fellowship with god, have to enter His rest
              3.  Need a vision for entering God’s rest
              4.  Failed to enter because of disobedience
                      a.  “Today” - do not harden your hearts
                      b.  Be diligent to enter His rest
--”I’ve come to peace with the creative design of God for my humanity.  I know why I have breath on the earth.  I know why
I have been created in the mind of God.  I have been         created to be a partner of Christ Jesus.”
--To know the truth of why we are created and then to say yes to it is to have tremendous         assurance  that we have
lived a life in wisdom.  To know that we have offered to God a heart of wisdom and a heart of worship throughout our life
is glorious.  To know that we loved Him deeply for many years is a gift from God that we will be able to cast before Him in
eternity.
--It is about how much we grew as lovers of God.  Period.  (MB)
--Christ’s purpose:  “to bear witness to the Truth”; to reveal it, to discover to the world that which otherwise could not
have been known concerning God and His “goodwill to men”.

PURSE - (if dream of lost - control, carry-all, life issues of life - you’re out of control and everybody sees what you are)

PUT DOWN -  when put down those whom God sends, you put down and stop God in your life.

PYTHON – a symbol illustrating the spirit of divination.  Divination in Greek is “puthon” – can represent a form of counterfeit
spiritual revelation masquerading as the Spirit of Truth.
