    The sin on top is not the sin in the heart

      --The Lord would not stretch out His hand and convert stones into bread to eat; for He was not motivated by necessity
but by the command of God.  Had necessity been the motivation, the will of God would have been set aside.  No, the Lord
would not initiate anything on His own.  Even the greatest need in us ought never to be our motivation for doing anything;
for it can easily become the very area of the devil’s temptation.  Whatever is not commanded by God is the area of
temptation for satan.  “Need” motivation is very easily attached to satan, but not to God.  Are we servants or are we
masters?  If God has not given an order, what do we obey?
      Whenever we ourselves become the motivation, we walk fairly close to satan’s way.  Man has no right to decide on
anything, no right to choose the way of the Church or the method of work.  The enemy will of course say that if you wait
for God’s word, you wait for death.  But the Lord says that man shall live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of
God.  Neither need nor self can be our inducement to act.  The command of God is alone to be the determinant of our
actions.  There is no greater loss on earth than the loss of the presence of God. (Nee)

numeral ‘10’ comes from the number ‘5’ multiplied by ‘2’; the numeral ‘12’ comes from the multiplication of the basic
