MALICE - often originates from envy as well as anger
• The result of the devil having a deep root of evil that he is able to maintain in our soul. By maintaining these things in our
life we are actually being a better host to the devil than we are to the Spirit
MAN: What is a man? The question of an angel (Hebrews 2:6)
MANDRAKES - purple flower; love fruit
MANHOOD - Maximized manhood is to be a leader not a ruler.
MANIFEST - make visible to one or more of five natural senses
-”sacred ground” within His chambers
MANNA - God’s sustaining
MANTLE
--Your Mantle comes from Jesus: When the Lord Jesus Christ calls you, He gives you the right to receive the double
portion anointing. The call of your life is only the beginning of a journey toward the double portion anointing. There will
be tests and trials in your life represented in the Bible by the places that Elijah took Elisha.
--Gilgal - the place where the supernatural deliverance of God stopped
--Bethel--the place of major decisions. It’s a place of yielding and surrender
--Jericho -- the place of warfare. Sometimes you may feel you are battling to your limit. When you do, remember,
the is just around the corner...you are on your way to “Jordan” --Jordan is the place where you receive the double
portion double portion anointing. Jordan is where John the Baptist saw the Holy Spirit descend like a dove upon Jesus...
it is the place Elisha saw the chariot of fire come for Elijah...it is the place of vision
--Benny Hinn doesn’t have K. Kuhlman’s mantle. Doesn’t need her mantle.
MANY - Daughters of Jerusalem (Matthew 22:24)
MARBLE - incorruptibility (SOS 5:15)
MARK - seal, protection, security
MARK OF THE BEAST - more subtle than we think. Even if we know, can’t resist unless have the seal of a bond slave as
the enemy can’t put a mark over God’s mark.
MARRIAGE Fruit: harmony, competition removed, compliment each other (DO)
• The proprieties of marriage: maturity, privacy, temperance (Z)
MARTHA - a spirit - a lie about a way to serve God - says its okay to serve with a distracted heart (JD)
MARTYR – It is not the suffering, but the cause that makes the martyr (MH)
MARTYRDOM - witness, being sacrifices, spiritual worship
• A new meaning and influence begins for the ‘binding of Isaac’, and its demand for man’s unconditional surrender to God’s
will and the behests of God’s law, with the Maccebean revolt, when Jews were first called upon to die for their Faith.
Abraham’s readiness to sacrifice his most sacred affections on the altar of his God evoked and developed a new ideal
in Israel, “the ideal of martyrdom”. … As persecution deepened during later centuries, the Binding of Isaac was ever in
the mind of men and women who might at any moment be given the dread alternative of apostasy or death. … Many
today have no understanding of martyrdom. They fail to see that it represents the highest moral triumph of humanity –
unwavering steadfastness to principle, even at the cost of life. They equally fail to see the lasting influence of such
martyrdoms upon the life and character of the nation whose history they adorn. Those who are thus blind to
unconquerable courage and endurance naturally display hostility to the whole idea of the Binding of Isaac and its place
and associations in Jewish thought. … Israel is the classical people of martyrdom.
• The highest form of hallowing God is martyrdom; and Jewish law demands of every Israelite to surrender his life
rather than by public apostasy desecrate the Name of God. – Leviticus 22:32 P&H
MARY OF BETHANY -- dared to draw near before revelation received--before your heart knows it; passes by distractions
of family and cultural norms; to sit at feet meant you were a disciple. She hadn’t been asked. Biggest issue in her
heart: will He receive me and let me stay. She listens from His feet; gaze established; John 11:1-2 --John connects
Lazarus dying to Mary. She’s got to go through Lazarus dying to get to place of pouring oil.
MASSES – The line of differentiation between the masses and the ‘remnant’ is set invariably by quality, not by
circumstance. The mass-man is one who has neither the force of intellect to apprehend the principles issuing in what we
know as the humane life, nor the force of character to adhere to those principles steadily and strictly as laws of conduct.
The main trouble with the mass-man approach is its reaction upon the mission itself. It necessitates an opportunist
sophistication of one’s doctrine which profoundly alters it character and reduces it to a mere placebo. Is, say, you are a
preacher, you wish to attract as large a congregation as you can, which means an appeal to the masses, and this in turn,
means adapting the terms of your message to the order of intellect and character that the masses exhibit.
MATERIALISM - trying to solve/answer spiritual problems with material things
MATURITY - amount of opposition it takes to discourage/upset you --see “Perfect”.
--spiritual maturity - when our overcomings begin to outweigh our shortcomings
--spiritual maturity does not come by the passage of time, but by right responses to the dealings of God (Paul Cain)
--know your desperate need of Him; less you hide from Him or others (RJ)
--to fully mature He is both the Lion and the Lamb
--to spiritual children he is the lamb
--to the maturing He is the Lion (RJ)
--spiritual maturity is always determined by our willingness to sacrifice our own desires for the interest of the
kingdom or for the sake of others. The door that requires the most sacrifice to enter will always take us to the highest
level (RJ)
--how you respond when enemy is around (KL)
--getting closer to the Lord (RJ)
--true spiritual maturity measured by how close we are to Him (RJ)
--One of the main signs that both Theresa of Avila and John of the Cross give as a signpost along the way that we are
growing in holiness is that we are becoming less and less afraid. We are becoming more and more free. We are
becoming less afraid of suffering, less afraid of death, less afraid of failure, less afraid of what other people think, more
confident and joyful in the Father’s love, more able to love, more able to worship, more able to serve, more able to
sacrifice, more able to be faithful, more able to suffer. It is because love is growing. Love is possessing us.
--First - the revelation of all that the Lord accomplished on the Cross for us. This includes the glory of our
deliverance from our old nature, and the glory of our calling and inheritance in Him. (Seen in Israel’s departure from
Egypt; three parts of the Tabernacle of Moses.) This stage is self-centered in the sense that it has to do with coming
to know all that WE can gain through Christ. Self-centeredness is not wrong for the immature.
--Second - the actual working out of this salvation by the renewing of our mind and nature in a way that brings about
a practical deliverance from our old nature by establishing a new one in us. (Seen in the wilderness.)
--Third and final stage - the revealing through us of the glory of the salvation of God, the nature of the new creation,
and the inheritance that we have been given as members of His own household -- sons and daughters of God. (Seen in
the Promised Land). True marks of maturity is that we become less self-centered and more Christ-centered.
• The more advanced one grows, the stricter will be his judgment of himself and the less and more lenient he judges
others
• Spiritual growth: Indicators of spiritual growth:
Humility and love Pride
• Whole purpose of spiritual growth is being prepared to see God and live
• Sign of authentic spirituality is if we are growing in love for others; humility; patience; denying our own will to serve
others
• And the reason we will be working together for a thousand years to bring it to pass and to have time for it to sufficiently
tested and tried so it is seasoned – it is mature. God doesn’t want a moment of innocence. He wants maturity. See Adam
and Eve were innocent, but they were not mature – meaning they did not have hard choices and choose right in the
presence of it. They were innocent but they were not mature. Maturity is where we have innocence and purity but also
where we have been seasoned through making the hard choices in right ways – we made the right choices – we made
the hard ones. That is maturity. It will take a thousand years to get the influence spread and properly seasoned where
there is maturity.
MEASURE (A) - something less than a quart and about enough to sustain a man for a day
MEAT OF THE WORD =surrender, obedience; forgetting what lies behind, getting on with your destiny
--distinguish good from evil
• Stronger food/meat – the way of the cross, accepting trials which purify
MEDICINE FOR THE BODY:
--Heart -- the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart Psalm 19:8
--Eyes--the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes Psalm 19:8
MEDIOCRITY - a deep illness - Don’t care about God or one’s own soul. Enjoys being in this state and looks for occasions
of it. Follow feelings rather than principles, the world rather than the Gospel.
MEDITATE - if what pondering is not of God it is called vain imaginations and conforming to the world
MEDITATION - mulling over doctrinal truths or letting your imagination recreate some scene from a story in Scripture.
MEEK - (Nee) Meekness is a character disposition. The meek one makes no demand on others, seeks nothing for self,
and is fully satisfied with God’s will and arrangement ... he trusts in God’s love which nevertheless lies behind affliction,
and he believes in God’s ordering -- no matter the kind -- as the best. He neither strives nor struggles for himself. He is
willing to deny himself and take up the Cross gladly ... Do you want to be a crucified one or the kind of person who pushes
himself forward on all occasions? Are you bearing the cross or are you instead maintaining your right? The result of
meekness is that you are anxious for nothing. Humanly speaking it takes fighting and battling to inherit anything on the
earth, but in God’s kingdom the meek inherit.
• When Jesus was rejected and suffered greatly, He praised the Father, for He accepted the discipline, ordering and
pleasure of God. He is meek, having no resistance. He is lowly, not expecting better treatment. His heart is truly meek
and lowly. Consequently, He was able to praise the Father even though He encountered so much difficulty. Matthew 11:28
MEEKNESS - to admit the truth about yourself and to act accordingly (Mountains of Spices p 195)
--the daily practice of bending submissively to life’s hard and difficult experiences without bitterness or resentful
resistance and self pity (Mountains of Spices p122)
• An inward virtue, the acceptance of God’s discipline and will (Z)
MELCHIZEDEK – offices of king and priest combined in one man
• Melchizedek’s office was exceptional: none preceded or succeeded him; he comes upon the page of history
mysteriously; no pedigree is given, no date of birth, or mention of death; he blesses Abraham, receives tithe, and
vanishes from the scene amid honors which show that he was greater than the founder of the chosen nation. He is seen
but once and that once suffices. Our Lord Jesus, like Melchizedek, stands forth before us as a priest of Divine ordaining;
not made a priest by fleshly birth, as the sons of Aaron; He mentions neither father, mother, nor descent, as His right to
the sacred office; He stands upon His personal merits, by Himself alone; as no man came before Him in His work, so none
can follow after; His order begins and ends in His own Person, and in Himself it is eternal, “having neither beginning of
days nor end of years”. The King-priest has been here and left His blessing upon the believing seed, and now He sits in
glory in His complete character, atoning for us by the merit of his blood, and exercising all power on our behalf. (TOD)
MEMORY - What we call memory is actually our spirit gazing at the substance of our soul (see soul). With few exceptions,
those events which we remember the most have shaped us the most. Indeed, the reason our natural minds cannot
forget certain incidents is because those experiences have literally become a part of our nature. We are commanded to
not look back and to “forget...what lies behind”. With God, this is not impossible, for although the events of our lives are
irreversible, our reactions to those events can still be changed. As our reactions change, we change, In other words,
although we cannot alter the past, we can put our past upon the altar as an act of worship.(FF)
MENTAL ILLNESS - There is a kind of mental illness in which a man speaks rationally until you mention the one subject
that caused his disorder in the first place; here he loses his reason and cannot continue a coherent conversation...
suddenly he appears deaf and dumb.
MERCIFUL - means to be lenient, tolerant, uncritical, undemanding, taking no account of evil, willing to forgive and endure
. One who can forgive and forget. We should be afraid of being unrighteous, being wrong, or paying less than we should.
In our giving to others, we are fearful of being unrighteous; but in others’ giving to us, we are afraid of getting too much.
We are strict towards ourselves but lenient towards other people. So a merciful man is a forgiving man. He is willing to let
many things go. He is not always keeping count of how people treat him. As this disposition is gradually developed in a
Christian, he begins to grow spiritually. he neither becomes critical or judgmental. For judgment requires righteousness,
not mercy. To be merciful is to give what is “undeserved” and to give to the undeserved. Such action is of great
consequence: “they shall obtain mercy”. ..... Yet this is not to be one act only; this is to be a developed and developing
character. In not being exacting, I will become a merciful man. I will like to forgive. I will love to treat other people
leniently. And the end result shall be that though I may not be perfect here on earth, at the judgment seat of Christ I may
receive unexpected mercy. (Nee)
MERCY - postponement of judgment
--The word mercy among the Jews signified two things: the pardon of injuries and almsgiving
• To promote the conversion of souls is the greatest act of mercy imaginable Matthew 9:13
• The Midrash says “thus spake the Holy One, blessed be He: if I create the world by Mercy alone, sin will abound; if
by Justice alone, how can the world endure? I will create it by both”
• When God intends great mercy for His people the first thing He does is to set them praying
MERIBAH = contention (Revelation 12; Numbers 20:13)
MESSIAH - Hebrew word for anointed = Messiah
- Greek word for anointed = Christ
METAPHORICALLY - God speaks metaphorically. We think linerally. Need to switch to subjectivity. Everyone has a part.
Put all parts together. Have to rely on others. Can’t understand spiritual with natural
METAPHORS - three main metaphors in creation depicting splendor of Christ Jesus are the mountains, the sky and the sea
MICE - thoughts
--mice/rats = in dreams mean larger demons. more authority
--feed off of garbage in your life
--how did get there? Something left unattended. They came because something there for them to get
MIDIANITES – discord, strife; contention; quarreling (RH)
MIDNIGHT - the darkest/old day ending/new day ready to dawn (JL)
MIGHT - with all our desperation
MILK - first principles of religion/science
--pure, white, clean; childlikeness
--milk is the sweet teachings of Jesus (MG)
--milk is for strength
--strengthens new babes in Christ (1 peter 2:1)
WARM MILK - searching the Scriptures for personal comfort
MILK & HONEY - the glory of all lands - Ezekiel 20:6
--two elements to feed the babes/the young
--theme of living for the good of others
MILLENNIUM - According to the New Testament (Matthew 5), Christians are to enter and reign in the kingdom of the
heavens. The people of the kingdom in the OT period are to be people (citizens) in the kingdom of the heavens. But a
Christian either becomes a king (that is to say, one who rules) or he does not enter. Whoever is of kingly quality enters,
otherwise he cannot enter: “for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens” -- not to be people in the kingdom, but to be
kings. (Nee)
MIND - set your mind on things above (Colossians 3:2)
• Minds – reins – the seat of desires; heart – that of the thoughts (JFB)
• The deepest impressions are made on the mind through the medium of the senses (JFB)
MINISTER - goes to work (Hebrews 10:11 The Message)
MINISTRY - “see how they serve each other”
--order of ministry: Fathers to sons (fathers --> sons)
• But our ministry – the way in which we operate our vision – is full of flexibility, constantly changing, and always moving.
It is interesting how we have made our vision to be rigid, inflexible, and immovable, and we’ve made our values to be
flexible and fluid according to circumstances
• Full time ministry: (D Wilkerson)
o You no longer need human applause
o You don’t need an assignment, a plan, or to be involved in some great work
o You don’t need an endorsement or credentials
o You don’t need a congregation or a church building
o The only ministry that satisfies your soul is your prayer and worship to the Lord
o You’d rather be alone with Jesus, feeding Him with your praises, than to be admired as a great minister
o You know all ministry to others flows out of ministry to Him
o So you’ve given yourself completely to a single thing: “My one calling on this earth is to minister unto the Lord”
MIRACLES - Jewish though says “Not even miracles are ‘new’ for their latent potentiality was inherent in creation.”
• Three different words for miracles:
1. Dunamis – active power – indicates its source as supernatural
2. Teras – something strange that causes the beholder to wonder – a wonder appeals to the imagination
3. Semeion – a sign, mark, or token – a sign intended to appeal to the understanding. Signs have specific purposes
behind them; for when God performs a miracle, he has a certain intention behind it. All the miracles in Matthew 8 are
signs. To simply record events is primarily a matter of history, but to compile them is chiefly a matter of purpose.
• Though our Lord does miracles, He does not expect people to believe in Him because of them. On the contrary,
He considers those who believe in Him due to miracles to be untrustworthy; He cannot trust Himself to them (John 2:23-25).
There does not seem to be much difference in nature between believing the Lord through wonders and worshipping
demons. The purpose in Matthew 8 is to cause us instead to pay attention to God’s objective behind them.
MIRIAM - Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of foreign woman he married - and the Lord heard it - a good
thing to remember. We get so settled in listening for God that we forget he hears us as well.
MIRRORS - god letting you know what you or somebody else looks like; or what is going on with the person you see in
the mirror
MISTAKE - fruit of unbelief. Unbelief brings a strange forgetfulness of His words.
MISTREATMENT – exposes the great enemy of our soul: price manifesting in anger. The crucible places pressures on
the human heart that expose the fault lines underneath the surface. Mistreatment and opposition touches places of
pride otherwise unnoticed in our controlled environments. (AH)
MOAB - a place of compromise
1. No tabernacle to worship God
2. Nation of idols
3. Long term enemy of Israel and God
4. Outside covenant blessing of God
MODERATION - Learn to wear it, learn to eat it, learn to make it do. Don’t satisfy lusts and “I wants”
MOMENT - smallest part of a piece of time that cannot be divided
MONEY - When don’t understand the purpose of money, will build idols with it.
--favor or lose favor
• (without) Simply for the self-surrender that accepts the blessing – Isaiah 55:1 Amplified
MONKEYS - harrassers, mockers
--more significant to see little critters coming into your house or to dream them coming in? Have ability to see--
get ride of them
MOON - landed on moon in 1967 (Jerusalem united)
--mother Genesis 37:10
MORDECAI - a picture of the Holy Spirit
--Esther lovely and beautiful
--Mordecai took her as his own daughter - adoption (Romans 8:15)
--Esther does not reveal her heritage
--Mordecai learns of Esther’s welfare daily
MORNING –
• (rising early in the morning) unceasing eagerness in any pursuit
MOSES - He was told to strike the rock because Jesus had to be struck to bring forth the living water. That is why the Lord
got mad when he struck it twice; Jesus was sacrificed “once” for all.
--The sin that caused Moses which prevented him from entering the Promised Land because he struck the rock
when God told him to speak to it. He represented the Lord as being angry when He was not angry. Moses was angry.
--Moses himself had to be stripped; he was the most learned man in all of Egypt; God couldn’t work with his mind
(see Aaron)
--Moses refused earthly titles, position to accomplish purpose of God; chose to suffer affliction; rejected temporary
pleasures of sin. Freedom requires we make right choices. Esteemed the reproach of Christ as greater riches - will have
to pass that test.
MOSES - Salvation and Deliverance
A. Before Moses could build the dwelling place of God, he had to get the people out of Egypt; today we are trying to
get Egypt out of the people
B. Egypt is often a type of the systems of this world
C. How do we get into Egypt in the first place
1. Ate of the wrong tree
2. Many people keep eating of the wrong tree instead of eating the Tree of Life (Jesus)
3. Looked for wisdom in the wrong place
4. The truth shall set you free
D. Truth is a Person
1. Walking in truth is seeing Jesus and where He sits
2. He is really seated at the right hand of the Father
3. He is in control and will take care of us
4. See from His perspective
E. Principle: Every time things got dry in Scripture, they went to Egypt
1. Even if we are in some area of the Promised Land, we turn to the world for our sustenance
2. We look for entertainment (to detain you from entering)
3. Ended up in bondage
F. How they got out of bondage
1. Moses was a type of Christ - his life a prophetic model of Christs
a. When both Moses and Christ were born, current ruler tried to have them killed

c. Second time they came they come in power and authority
2. Plagues parallel those that will come upon the world
3. Moses requested permission to let God’s people go - Exodus 5
a. Pharaoh made the burdens heavier
b. Just before you are about to be delivered by the power of God, the enemy will heap the burdens on you
c. Reason was so that the people would believe the promises of God were false words
d. God didn’t want the people going by permission of Pharaoh
(1) The only way we will be delivered from bondage is the power of God
4. Enemy willing to make a compromise (Pharaoh called for them) - Exodus 8
a. If we remain resolute during burdens, the next trick is to get you to compromise
b. Will say you can live in the world and still worship God - as long as you stay under his authority
c. Enemy said he would let them go three days but don’t go too far away -- come back (don’t go too far
with religion)
5. More compromises but Moses remained resolute - Exodus 10
a. Enemy then said “go as far as you want; just leave something back here” -- “where your treasure is that
is where your heart is” (“I’ll get you back here again.”)
b. Moses said not a hoof will be left behind
c. To walk in full salvation, have to have the same resolution
6. What really set them free?
a. The Passover - the Sacrifice of the Lamb
b. What He did is what sets us free -- Christ is our Passover
MOSES’ BODY – Jude 9 – the fight is over ‘the body’. Devil always fighting with the ‘body of Christ’ – or the land that is
yours – it’s all about the land
MOTHER TO JERUSALEM – the temple built on Zion
MOTHS - eat, sneak in and cheat destroy things that can give protection, warmth
MOTIVATION - (Divine)
-gives his affirmation of His love
-He wants to empower her with confidence of the love of God so that she can open to the Jesus of Gethsemane
-He is taking her for himself
-Reminds her of His extravagant love for her
-He motivates by love and gratitude instead of fear and judgment
MOTORCYCLES - can mean prophetic ministry - while riding a motorcycle you have increased vision, quicker acceleration,
greater maneuverability, extreme stability at high speeds, and less protection. Also more sensitive to changes in the elements.
MOUNT GILEAD - fertile area; goats well fed
MOUNT OF TRANSFIGURATION – Luke 9 – Moses & Elijah – The Law and The Prophets
MOUNTAIN (with no reference to name) = refers to kingdom

• A mountain is often associated with closeness to God and readiness to receive His words
MOUNTAIN OF MYRRH - His embalmment (John 19:39)
MOUNTAINS = spiritual governments as in powers and principalities
-natural or spiritual government
-deepest part of your spirit (MG) SOS 2:8
-obstacles that hinder faith and obedience

--great difficulties, perplexities
--remove mountains = removing of or conquering of
MOUNTAINS OF SPICES
--as there are four gardens, so four mountains which form the structure of Song:
1. Bether (2:17) - “division” - God’s justice dividing us from God
2. Those “of leopards” (4:8) - sin, the world, devil
3. That “of myrrh and aloes” (4:6, 14) - the sepulchre of Calvary
4. Those “of spices” - here answering to “the hill of frankincense” (4:6) where His soul was for the three days of
his death, and heaven, where He is a High Priest now, offering incense for us on the fragrant mountain of His own finished
work thus He surmounts the other three mountains, God’s justice, our sin, death.
--the mountain of spices is as much greater than our sins, as heaven is higher than earth (Psalm 103:11)
MOURNING - (Nee) This mourning is not for the sins of one’s own self, but for the current environment. Darkness,
injustice and oppression are all around. The devil is being worshipped. There is the absence of righteousness, peace
and truth. The Lord is being rejected. His teaching is being resisted. Poverty and sufferings fill this earth.
--to mourn is the highest reaction. Anger and sorrow are also reactions. But mourning is the deepest as shown in
Psalm 42.
--Why mourn? Because there is love. Without love there can be no mourning, for there will be no such reaction
where love is absent. Without love, there will be neither crying nor mourning. This then is a test. It is not simply an
admonition of the Lord. If we encounter such environment and yet are not sensitive to it, we should ask the Lord to give
us burden. (Nee)
--That entire feeling which the sense of our spiritual poverty begets; it is a complement of the first beatitude. The
one is the intellectual, the other emotional aspect of the same thing. It is poverty of spirit that says, “I am undone”; and it
is the mourning which this causes that makes it break forth in the form of a lamentation “Woe is me! For I am undone”.
Religion, according to the bible, is neither a set of intellectual convictions nor a bundle of emotional feelings, but a
compound of both, the former giving birth to the latter.
-First over their own sins; then over their sinfulness; and later over the desolations of Zion.
-A penitential mourning for our own sins - godly sorrow - with an eye to Christ
-Live a life of repentance, who, out of regard to God’s honor, mourn also for the sins of others
-As in vain and sinful laughter the heart is sorrowful, so in gracious mourning the heart has a serious joy
• Those who feel their spiritual poverty, mourn after God, lamenting the iniquity that separates them from the Fountain
of blessedness
MOUTH - communion with Jesus

at God’s bar.
• He condemns anger and everything else that occurs between anger and the act of killing (such as scolding, hating
and despising)
• In the Lord’s eye the whole process from anger to actual killing is called killing
• The Pharisees focused on but one aspect; the Christian’s law brought in by Christ covers the entire process. The
Lord does not ask if anyone has taken the last step of killing. He asks if anyone has merely started down the road of
killing. Matthew 5:21-26
MURDERED - someone else murdered; unseen assailant; see blood. rough time of persecution

--free from indwelling sin (Romans 8:10)
--hidden meaning
