A Ministry Like Harry S. Truman: Intercession for Israel
I. WE SHARE OUR PROPHETIC HISTORY TO STRENGTHEN OUR RESOLVE AND FOCUS
18 This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you
may wage the good warfare… (1 Timothy 1:18)
II. BOB JONES’ PROPHECIES ABOUT A WORLDWIDE YOUTH MOVEMENT
A. The first word that Bob Jones gave to me on March 7, 1983. He said, “You will lead a worldwide youth movement
of prophetic singers and musicians that will be used in power evangelism and to mobilize worldwide prayer for Israel. They
will receive grace for prophetic and intercession.” This movement will have a ministry like Harry S. Truman who was a
“political intercessor” for Israel in being used by God to help establish the State of Israel (May, 1948). This movement
will be spiritual intercessors. The Lord will place you next to Harry S. Truman as a sign and wonder.
B. Bob’s first prophetic experience concerning this youth movement was on Aug. 8, 1975. He had a “near death
experience” (related to abortion) in which his spirit left his body and stood before the Lord. The Lord sent him back to
help establish the leadership of this youth movement. He saw two angels speaking about a future outpouring of the
Spirit in KC. They described it as being like an atomic explosion of light saying, “They would do greater works than these.”
12 The works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do… (John 14:12)
C. On Aug. 8, 1982 Bob saw a white horse in a river bed that had 4 inches of water with rabid dogs on the sides. The
Lord told Bob that there would be enough water (power of the Spirit) to get clean but not enough to launch the youth
movement in power until the flood came years later. The Lord gave Bob Hab. 3:4 saying. “The power of God would
be released from their hands.”
4 His brightness was like the light; He had rays flashing from His hand, and there His power was hidden. 5 Before Him
went pestilence, And fever followed at His feet. (Hab. 3:4-5)
III. FOUR ESSENTIAL HEART STANDARDS (FOUR MOST NEGLECTED REALITIES)
A. In Cairo, God spoke to me about four essential heart standards in which the End-Time Church is to function.
They are the four most neglected pillars of New Testament Christianity.
1. Intercession (night and day with a spirit prayer in the life of the Church)
2. Holiness of heart (Sermon on the Mount lifestyles; Mt. 5-7)
3. Offerings (extravagant giving): live simple to give more to the harvest and the poor)
4. Prevailing faith or confidence in God’s prophetic intervention
B. The Lord said, “I will establish 24-hour prayer in the spirit of the Tabernacle of David.” The Lord promised that
IHOP would grow from 500 to 5,000 over night by the flood of the Spirit. My prayer is for a “core” of this movement
(5,000 staff) to be found faithful to these realities.
4 One thing I have desired of the LORD…that I may dwell in the house of the LORD…to behold the beauty of the LORD, and
to inquire in His temple. (Ps. 27:4)
IV. ISAIAH’S PROPHECY ABOUT 24/7 PRAYER MINISTRIES IN THE END-TIMES
6 On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; all day and all night they will never keep silent. You who
remind the LORD, take no rest for yourselves; 7 and give Him no rest until He establishes and makes Jerusalem a
praise in the earth. (Isa 62:6-7, NAS)
A. Jerusalem will become a “praise in the earth” at the time of Jesus’ Second Coming. Isaiah’s prophecy is
specifically about prayer ministries that continue 24/7 until the Second Coming. Most of these ministries will be
started in the generation in which the Lord returns.
B. Watchman are those who “remind the Lord” of His promises in His Word. In other words, they are intercessors.
They will never keep silent as they continue in 24/7 intercession and worship. They have been set (NKJ) or appointed
(NAS) by God to the wall of intercession for Jerusalem.
C. Today, the Holy Spirit is establishing a global “wall of intercession” for the land of Israel.
30 I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that
I should not destroy it… (Ezek. 22:30)
3 Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing! 4 O Israel, your prophets are like foxes
in the deserts. 5 You have not gone up into the gaps to build a wall for the house of Israel to stand in battle on the day
of the LORD. (Ezek. 13:3-5)
18 Their heart cried out to the Lord, "O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night; give
yourself no relief; give your eyes no rest. (Lam. 2:18)
5 For I…will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst. (Zech. 2:5)
V. WE MUST STAND ON THE WALL OF INTERCESSION FOR JERUSALEM
A. The Battle for Jerusalem is a spiritual, political and military battle for the control of Jerusalem. This is one of the
most significant battlefronts in the spirit today ended only by Jesus’ Coming.
1 The day of the LORD is coming…2 I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem…3 Then the LORD will go
forth (Second Coming) and fight… (Zech. 14:1-3)
B. Jesus prophesied that He would not come back to Jerusalem until the governmental leaders of Israel voluntarily
ask Him to reign over them as their Messianic King. (Mt. 23:39). The battle for Jerusalem is primarily a war between two
houses of prayer, Jesus’ and the Antichrist’s.
11 The LORD will be awesome to them, for He will reduce to nothing all the gods of the earth; people shall worship Him,
each one from his place…all the shores of the nations. (Zeph. 2:11)
8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him (Antichrist)...12 and he (False Prophet)…causes the earth and those
who dwell in it to worship the beast (Antichrist)… (Rev. 13:8, 12)
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you. (Ps. 122:6)
