The Emerging Global Prayer Movement
    Isaiah 62:6-7

“I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night.  You who make
mention of the LORD, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem
a praise in the earth.”  Isaiah 62:6-7

I.        GLOBAL TRANSITION ACCOMPANIED BY HOLY SPIRIT PRAYER MOVEMENT.

A.        At the end of the age the Lord is raising up a global prayer movement. One of the realities that marks the
beginning of this prayer movement is that there is a rapid increase and desire for worship, intercession and intimate
communion with the Trinity like never before. (Lk. 18:7-8; Mt. 21:13; Rev. 5:8; 8:3-5; 22:17, 20; Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:26;
Rev. 22:17); Isa. 62:6-7; 24:14-16; 25:9; 26:8-9; 27:2-5, 13; 30:18-19; 42:10-13; 43:26; 51:11; 52:8; Joel 2:12-17, 32;
Zech. 13:9d; Jn. 17:21-26; Jer. 31:7; Mic. 5:3-4; Zeph. 2:1-3; Deut. 4:27-31).
“… and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem praise in the earth.” Isaiah 62:7

B.        The global prayer movement is going to culminate with what I believe to be the return of Jesus to this planet to
establish Jerusalem as His global set of government during His 1000-year reign (Millennial Kingdom) on the earth.

“And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever
desires, let him take the water of life freely.”  Revelation 22:17

C.        The end-time prayer movement will result in the Church of Jesus in mature bridal identity and unity with the Spirit crying
out for the return of Jesus. (Rev. 22:17; Hos. 2:16; Mt. 22:37; 25:8.)

The end-time prayer movement is about the cultivation of faith (vibrant and dynamic agreement) that Jesus will be looking
for during His return.  Jesus is looking for a church full of faith (agreeing with the things on His heart) that will bring her to
maturity in power, character and wisdom. (Eph. 4:13; 5:27; Matt. 16:18; 22:37; Jn. 17:21-26; Rev. 19:7; 12:11; 15:2.
Breakthrough in power and divine information – Acts 2:17; Jer. 31:9; 23:20; 30:24; 5:4-5; Dan. 11:33-35; 12:3, 10;
Isa. 26:9; 29:24; Rev. 11:3-6; 18:20; Matt. 17:11; Mal. 4:6; Jn. 14:12. Great Harvest – Matt. 24:14; 28:19; Rev. 7:9;
5:9; 14:6; 15:4; Dan. 7:14, 27.)

II.        THE GLOBAL PRAYER MOVEMENT A PROPHETIC INDICATOR OF A GLOBAL TRANSITION

A.        I believe that we are living in an hour of great global transition and a Holy Spirit global movement accompanies
this transition. It’s my conviction that a “prayer movement” often accompanies transitions.  When there is a shift in the
divine economy of God I believe that many times it is accompanied by a prayer movement. 1 Samuel 1 (Hannah),
Luke 1 (hour of incense), Luke 2:25-38 (Anna and Simeon) and Acts 1 (birth of the church)

B.        The transition at the end of the age, the generation is which the Lord is going to return, will be marked by prayer
“Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: “There was in a certain
city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying,
‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I
do not fear God nor regard man, yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming
she weary me.’”  Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who
cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily.
Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes,(2nd Coming of Christ) will He really find faith on the earth?”
Luke 18:1-8

C.        Jesus links the call to night and day prayer to the end of the age.

D.        The two most critical components that will fuel the prayer movement is the study of the beauty of Jesus or intimacy
with God (His personality and His emotions) and the study of Jesus’ leadership at the end of the age (study of end-times)

“One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life,
to behold (intimate communion) the beauty (Knowledge of God)of the LORD, and to inquire (intercession) in His temple.”
Psalm 27:4

E.        Daniel’s intercession was fueled by the insight he gained from studying the prophets (end-times) related to his
generation.

“In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the lineage of the Medes, who was made king over the realm of the
Chaldeans— in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the
word of the LORD through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of
Jerusalem.  Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting,
sackcloth, and ashes.”  Daniel 9:1-3

III.        THE BOOK OF REVELATION A PRAYER MANUAL AT THE END OF THE AGE

A.        Jesus ended most of his teachings about the end-times with the subject of prayer as the only means of standing
strong at the end of the age.  I believe that this is most clearly seen in the book of Revelation.  The book of Revelation
is the gift of God the end-time church as.  The are at least 70-80 direct or indirect references to prayer in the book of
revelation (hymns, declarations, worship, supplications, incense, altars, etc).

B.        The Book of Revelation is about:

1.        The revealing of the beauty of Jesus and His leadership under the Father
2.        The revealing of end-time events culminating with the descending of the New Jerusalem on the earth.
3.        The revealing of intercession as the governmental center of the kingdom of God now and forever.

C.        The prayer and worship movement is a unified concert of worship and prayer between the expression of the church on
the earth and in heaven.

“For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family (the Church) in
heaven and earth is named…” Ephesians 3:14-15

“Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each
having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.”  Revelation 5:8

“When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for
the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge
and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” Revelation 6:9-10

D.        The prayer movement in its entirety consists of the intercession of Jesus and the Holy Spirit combined with the
worship and prayers of the saints on the earth with worship and prayer of the saints in heaven with the activity of angels
hindering demonic powers and principalities.  Daniel 9-10 give us a clear picture of the interplay between intercession
and the impact on powers and principalities

E.        All the components of the prayer movement will place a vital role in the Father's plan to release the kingdom to
the saints.

“When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. And I saw the seven angels who
stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and
stood at the altar He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden
altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God
from the angel’s hand. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And
there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake.  So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets
prepared themselves to sound.”  Revelation 8:1-6

F.        The result is that the Father releases decisions (makes judgments) in favor of the saints. All the components
of the prayer movement will place a vital role in the Father's plan to release the kingdom to the saints.

22 until the Ancient of Days came, and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came
for the saints to possess the kingdom.  Daniel 7:22

2 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge
the smallest matters? 3 Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?
1 Corinthians 6:2-3

IV.        THE VISION FOR DIVINE JUSTICE (ISAIAH 42)

A.        In the gospel of Matthew chapter 12, the evangelist records Jesus healing multitudes including a man with a
withered hand.  These events remind Matthew of the prophecy found in Isaiah 42 which is the prophecy of Servant of
the LORD who will establish justice in the earth.  Justice is the manifestation of God’s rule and government in the midst
of God’s people.

B.        Justice refers to the making of wrong things right.  When Jesus went about healing the multitudes, He was establishing
justice.  Though healing and the salvation of souls from eternal judgment are a manifestation of justice, they are not the
full expression of justice

C.        Healing is God’s judgment against sickness; salvation is God’s judgment against unbelief.  Jesus came to bring
judgment against the ruler of this world. (John 16:11) and He did this through preaching the good news of the gospel,
healing the brokenhearted, proclaiming liberty to the captives, the oppressed and giving sight to the blind. The final
provision for the establishing of justice was made through Christ’s intercession on cross (Col 2:15).

D.        Isaiah 42:1-13 can be divided into four basic sections:

1.        42:1-13 the vision of divine justice (ultimately seen in the millennial kingdom)
2.        42:5-9 invitation to partner with God for the release of justice
3.        42:10-12 global worship movement for the release of justice
4.        42:13 the 2nd coming of Christ to establish 42:4 justice in the earth

E.        There is a vision in the heart of the Father to establish justice in the earth.  The subject of justice lies as the
very core of the apostolic gospel proclaimed by the Son of God and the apostles of the early church.  The establishing
of Justice is central to the 1st and the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ

1 “Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will
bring forth justice to the Gentiles. 2 He will not cry out, nor raise His voice, nor cause His voice to be heard in the street.
3 A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench; He will bring forth justice for truth. 4 He will not
fail nor be discouraged, till He has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands shall wait for His law.”
Isaiah 42:1-4

F.        The subject of justice on the earth is vast and complex starting our need to be justified in the court of heaven as
individuals but the gospels also covers the vast subject of justice related to abortion, poverty, misogyny, oppression in the
marketplace, law enforcement, medicine, education, employment, public services, racism (systemized prejudice),
corruption, immorality, human trafficking, immigration laws, the church’s posture before and interaction with government,
the individual destiny of nations, etc.

G.        One of the realities that must be confronted in the subject of justice is that there is not one person in the earth,
not one governmental system, political party, culture, social status or gender that is righteous or just. A great error in the
present social justice movement is the “sanctifying” or the “demonizing” of any group where by virtue of their position or
status in society they get assigned a moral standing before God.  Hence the beginning point of justice is the cross which
was the price for the world’s rebellion against God
“… for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…”  Romans 3:23

“A noise will come to the ends of the earth—For the LORD has a controversy with the nations; He will plead His case with
all flesh.  He will give those who are wicked to the sword,’ says the LORD.”  Jeremiah 25:31

H.        The issue of justice starts with our right standing (justification) with the Godhead in Christ Jesus without which
there is no justice.  The day that humanity broke fellowship with God is when injustice entered into the world.  The
beginning point of justice by grace through faith.

“Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; but the just shall live by his faith.”  Habakkuk 2:4

I.        The issue that is facing the church in regards to the subject is not a new humanitarian method or program but it is the
issue the apostolic gospel with power and intercession.  The global prayer movement is significantly about touching the
poor of the earth.

J.        The poor and the oppressed need a message that will raise them up out of the ash heap of their personal
depravity, individual and corporate oppression.  The destitute of the earth need a church filled with power that has
message that will broke of the affects of their cruel bondage and that enables them to the hear the true apostolic gospel
that says that there is an answer for the injustice done against them and the injustice that they have done against
heaven.

“So Moses spoke thus to the children of Israel; but they did not heed Moses, because of anguish of spirit and cruel
bondage.”  Exodus 6:9

V.        JUSTICE BEGINS BY TOUCHES THE FATHER’S DELIGHT FOR THE SON

“Behold My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights…”  (Isaiah 42:1).

A.        The administrator of divine justice is the delight of the Father’s soul. The Father invites us to behold His.
He invites us to gaze upon His Souls delight.  He is inviting us to the come and do the one thing needed.

24 “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You
have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father! The world has not known
You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. 26 And I have declared to them Your name, and
will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

VI.        GLOBAL WORSHIP MOVEMENT FOR THE RELEASE OF JUSTICE  42:10-13

A.        At the end of the age the Holy Spirit is raising up a global movement mostly among the poor that call on the name
of the Lord to come and establish justice in the earth.  The cry, ‘the Spirit and the Bride, say Come!” in essence is a cry
for justice.

“Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it,
you islands, and all who live in them. Let the desert and its towns raise their voices; let the settlements where Kedar lives
rejoice. Let the people of Sela sing for joy; let them shout from the mountaintops. Let them give glory to the LORD and
proclaim his praise in the islands. The LORD will march out like a mighty man, like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with
a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies.”  Isaiah 42:10-13

B.        The concept of night and day ministry to the Lord is born of divine initiative out of the holy heart of God. The
global prayer movement is the very activity of the Holy Spirit who is the One setting watchmen on the wall.

“I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night.  You who make mention
of the LORD, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the
earth.”  Isaiah 62:6-7

C.        The Holy Spirit is calling men and women young and old across the nations of the earth and setting them on the wall of
intercession.  There are those who will still be day and there are those who will stand in the watches of the night
