  • Mentioned in Revelation 4:2, 1:20, 17:3, 21:10
  • In OT prophecy only those can learn the divine purpose who are admitted to ‘the council of the Lord to see or hear
his word’; then they are in a position to proclaim confidently what He will do (Z)
  • Jeremiah 23:18 (For who has stood in the counsel of the Lord, and has perceived and heard His word?  Who has
marked His word and heard it?); 23:22 (But if they had stood in My counsel, and had caused My people to hear My words,
then they would have turned them from their evil way and from the evil of their doings)
  • Matthew 22:43 “Then how does David in the Spirit call Him ‘Lord’ saying  ... – by inspiration
  • 2 Samuel 23:2  The Spirit of the Lord spoke by me, and His word was on my tongue
